March 2, 2010 For Immediate Release: Monday Mysteries at WCDPL Partners with the Toledo Museum of Art in March To Explore Elizabeth Peters' Egypt
Monday Mysteries meets March 8 at 7:00 pm at the Wood County District Public Library (Bowling Green) to discuss Night Train to Memphis by Elizabeth Peters. Peters, best known for her historical fiction featuring Egyptologist Amelia Peabody, brings her trademark wit and humor to this contemporary mystery. Art thieves and missing cultural treasures, lost love and country music, and a luxury cruise down the Nile all have a role to play as Peters' thriller unfolds against the backdrop of modern day Egypt.
The Monday Mysteries group's discussion of Night Train to Memphis also marks the return of last fall's popular "Pen to Palette" program to WCDPL. This program partners a library book club with a free tour of the Toledo Museum Art especially designed to complement a book from the groups' reading list. Elizabeth Peters fans, art and antiquities lovers, and all amateur-sleuth Egyptologists are invited to tour the TMA Friday, March 12 at 7:00 pm with members of Monday Mysteries. Registration for the TMA tour is required by March 8. Those interested may register in 3 ways: through the library's website (wcdpl.org); by calling (419-352-5104); or stopping by the 2nd Floor Information Desk. |
