Community Within: Discovering African-American History in Rural Ohio

Many rural areas in Ohio are home to long-established black communities that often live invisibly alongside their neighboring white communities. Join guest speaker Professor Ric S. Sheffield of Kenyon College on a quest to reclaim the lost history of African-Americans in Knox County, Ohio.

Break It Make It with Home Depot

Join us in the Children’s Place Programming Room for this monthly hands-on program and partnership between the Children’s Place and Team Depot. Deconstruct, investigate, and tinker with various gadgets.

All tools and safety equipment will be provided. Recommended for youth ages 10 and up, or younger accompanied by an adult. Break-It & Make-It with Home Depot occurs monthly, along with other STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math) programs and opportunities.
