Join the Wood County District Public Library in the next WCDPL Foundation series event with bestselling author Sonia Manzano! Manzano will be visiting Bowling Green on Thursday, October 12 at 7:00 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center, 540 W. Poe Road.

For over 40 years, Sonia inspired, educated, and delighted children and families as "Maria" on Sesame Street. Named one of the 25 Greatest Latino Role Models, Sonia has contributed to enriching diversity on television, on the stage, and in the educational realm. As a first-generation Puerto Rican born on the mainland, her tale is one of perseverance and courage as she overcame countless obstacles to become one of the most influential Latinas on television.
