Library Cards

Your library card gives you access to thousands and thousands of free audiobooks, digital books, movies, music, picture books, and bestselling novels. You don’t need to pay monthly subscription fees when you have a library card. Access to FREE digital materials and to traditional library materials has never been more important.

How do I get a library card?

You can come to the library during open hours at the Bowling Green or at the Walbridge location for a permanent, full-service, library card.

  • Ohio residents are eligible for a library card at no cost.
  • Out-of-state residents pay a $35.00 annual fee.
  • To obtain a permanent library card, applicants must present a photo ID.
  • People who are 17 years old or younger, must be accompanied by parent/legal guardian in order to get a card.
    • In special circumstances, limited use cards may be issued to patrons under 17 without a parental signature.  Parents will be notified by mail that their child has received a card.  ID is not required but the child must know date of birth and contact information. Cards are only valid at WCDPL locations; these cards do not allow holds or computer access
