Meet local author Constance Phillips on Saturday, April 13 at 2:00 pm! Constance is a contemporary romance and paranormal romance novelist, and she will join us to talk about her new books and her writing process.

Constance lives in Ohio with her husband, daughter, and three canine kids. She had two upcoming books: Family Reclaimed and The First & The Last, and plenty of other books and series, including the Sunnydale Days Series and the To Protect & Serve Series.

Join WCDPL to meet bestselling author Elle Cosimano on Wednesday, May 15 at 7:00 pm in the Bowling Green Library Atrium! Elle will be joining us to talk about her work as an author, and a Q&A and book signing will follow.

Elle is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, an International Thriller Award winner, a Bram Stoker Award finalist, and an Edgar Award nominee. Her acclaimed young adult novels include Nearly Gone, Holding Smoke, The Suffering Tree, and Seasons of the Storm. Elle’s debut novel for adults, Finlay Donovan Is Killing It, kicked off a witty, fast-paced contemporary mystery series, which was a People Magazine Pick and was named one of the New York Public Library’s Best Books of 2021. In addition to writing novels for teens and adults, her essays have appeared in The Huffington Post and Time Magazine. Elle lives with her husband and two sons in Virginia.

Meet local author Bettie Boswell on Saturday, June 15 at 2:00 pm! Bettie is a traditionally published author for all ages of readers. Her books include On Cue, Free to Love, and Hoping for Treasure for adult readers, and Lucy and Thunder, Dottie's Dream Horse, Mazza Mystery, and more for kids.

This program will feature an informative and hands-on presentation with fun for children and adult readers and writers. A Q&A and book signing will follow. Books will be available for purchase.

Meet local children's author Carole Sarkan on Saturday, July 13 at 2:00 pm! Carole is the author of And Candy Smiled, a Caldecott Award nominee, and the sequel, And Candy Lived. This program will feature Carole as she talks about her work as an author, a Q&A, and a book signing.

Carole was a teacher from Bowling Green for 35 years, and currently lives in Grand Rapids, Ohio. Carole comes from a family of artists with her grandparents being professors and songwriters and her parents as teachers and musicians. She has always had a passion for writing, music, history, and art. Since the age of six, she always wanted to write children's books, and in partnership with author Emily Christoff-Flowers, she finally achieved that dream and began writing about her English springer spaniel dog, Candy.

Her newest book, Aunt Mary's Pottery, is about a potter named Mary Grabill who was an established artist in Florida and made her life creating pottery, despite her issues with arthritis and polio.

Award-winning author of The Vegetable Butcher: How to Select, Prep, Slice, Dice, and Masterfully Cook Vegetables from Artichokes to Zucchini, Cara will discuss her work as a chef, creator, and author.

Cara is a James Beard Award finalist, chef, creator, and author of The Vegetable Butcher and her much-anticipated second cookbook, The Vegetable Eater: The New Playbook for Vegetarian Cooking. She draws from decades of spotlighting vegetables in her cooking, writing, professional kitchen, and her own home. Bringing together this passion and experience in her newest book, she presents approachable, crave-worthy recipes that make it second nature for home cooks to create vibrant, flavorful, vegetable-based meals. With Cara’s encouragement and expertise, everyone can be a vegetable eater!
