NOTICE TO BIDDERS
SEALED Bids for the furnishing of the necessary materials and construction of the:
BOILER REPLACEMENT PROJECT
WOOD COUNTY DISTRICT PUBLIC LIBRARY, 251 MAIN STREET, BOWLING GREEN, OH 43402
Bids will be received by the Board of Trustees of the Wood County District Public Library, in person, until 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, and at that time will be publicly opened and read aloud during a face-to face meeting. Bidders are to drop off their bid documents in a sealed envelope at the receptionist in the office area occupied by Mr. Michael Penrod.
The work will consist of:
Boiler Replacement – General, Mechanical and Electrical Upgrades.
The estimate of probable cost for this base project is $250,000.00. The estimate of probable cost for alternate bid item M-1 (replace existing pumps) is $25,000.00. The estimate of probable cost for alternate bid item M-2 (replace DWH with indirect tank) is $20,000.00. Bidders shall not be responsible for paying sales taxes on materials incorporated into the structure. It is the intent of the Wood County District Public Library to award the project in its entirety to one contractor.
The contract documents, including plans and specifications, are on file at the office of the Architect/Engineer -- Kleinfelder, Inc., 415 Conant Street, Maumee, OH 43571. Documents may be viewed and ordered online or obtained from Becker Impressions, 4646 Angola Road, Toledo, Ohio 43615, telephone 419-385-5303, or the cost of printing to be paid to the printing company at the time the drawings are picked up. Shipping and tax charges are the bidder’s responsibility and payable directly to Becker Impressions.
All bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the Pre-Bid Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. The Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at the Wood County District Public Library. In accordance with Ohio Revised Code Section 3375.41 this shall serve as notification that this notice is advertised for a period of two (2) weeks in the Sentinel-Tribune for Bowling Green, Ohio and is also available on the Wood County District Public Library’s internet web site https://wcdpl.org.
