Readers of all ages are invited to the WCDPL Mock Caldecott Program on Sunday, January 25 at 2:00 pm! Kathy East, retired WCDPL children's librarian and two-time Caldecott Committee Member, will lead the discussion and describe the criteria for voting on the most distinguished picture book of the year. Everyone will be encouraged to join the conversation and participate in a Mock Caldecott vote on their favorite 2025 published picture book!
The Caldecott Award, along with the other Youth Media Awards, will be announced by the American Library Association via live-stream from Chicago, Illinois. Everyone is invited to a watch party for the awards announcements in The Children's Place Interactive Learning Room at 11:00 am on Monday, January 26.
