Readers of all ages are invited to the WCDPL Mock Caldecott Program on Sunday, January 26 at 2:00 pm! Kathy East, retired WCDPL children's librarian and two-time Caldecott Committee Member, will lead the discussion and describe the criteria for voting on the most distinguished picture book of the year. Everyone will be encouraged to join the conversation and participate in a Mock Caldecott vote on their favorite 2024 published picture book!
The Caldecott Award, along with the other Youth Media Awards, will be announced by the American Library Association via live-stream from the ALA LibLearnX Conference in Phoenix, Arizona. Everyone is invited to a watch party for the awards announcements in The Children's Place Interactive Learning Room at 10:00 am on Monday, January 27.
